A grand opening ceremony was held for the Edison Recycling Center on Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to a township news release. The facility is located at 745 New Durham Road.

The center is the latest of Mayor Sam Joshi's capital improvement projects.

"Our new recycling center being opened is a great milestone for all of our residents," Mayor Joshi said. "It will serve as a central and efficient location for our community’s recycling needs."

Edison residents can drop off waste at the facility like electronics, batteries, grass, aluminum, plastic, metal, concrete, branches, and glass. The center also has a drive-through system for people to pick up leaf bags for the fall.

You can learn more about the center on the Edison Township website or by calling the public works department at 732-248-7288.
